DAY 01 : ARRIVE BAGDOGARA(BY FLIGHT) - NAMCHI 98 KM 4 HRS DRIVE
Upon arrival at Bagdogra airport, you are met and transferred to Namchi, nestled among the hills at an elavation of 4400 ft. offers panoramic view of the snow capped mountains and vast stretches of valley. The area is fast developing into a tourist destination with its immense potential for all round tourist activities. On arrival in Namchi, headquater of South Sikkim. Check in at your pre-booked hotel. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast go for half day local sightseeing covering the famous attractions and later by afternoon transfer to Gangtok at an altitude of 5500 ft. Gangtok is the Capital of Sikkim. On arrival in Gangtok. Check in at your pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Morning drive to Lachen via visiting Phudong, Mangan, Chungthang. On arrival, check in at Hotel . Overnight at Hotel.
After breakfast, drive to the Gurudongmar Lake first where you will be mesmerized by the serene surroundings. It is very close to the Tibet border. This drive will take you atop a peak where the lake is perched. Set at an altitude of 17,000 feet, it is among the highest lakes in India. Encircled all around the year by snow-covered peaks, the lake is considered to be sacred by the Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists.
On the way, visit Thangu. The Thangu Valley is a small and cosy village that is decorated with vibrant alpine flowers. A lot of travellers flock here every year for the spectacular hiking trails that the valley offers. Return to hotel in Lachen. Check out from the hotel and drive towards Lachung via Chungthang. On arrival, check in at your pre-booked hotel in Lachung. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.Morning after breakfast, drive to Yumthang valley of wild flowers. Visit hot spring, further drive to Zero point. Return to hotel in Lachung. Check out from the hotel and drive to Gangtok. On arrival check in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Today after breakfast at the hotel, sightseeing tour of Gangtok starts. First, head to the Tsomgo Lake or what is also known as the Changu Lake. A 3-hour drive is what it will take to reach at the height of 12,400 feet.
It is a glacial lake that is considered to be sacred by locals and the reflection of the neighbouring hills on the water is sure to leave you enthralled. There is a small temple built alongside the shore as well. Later tour to Nathula Pass. You can soak in the serene beauty and can also take a ride on colourfully ornamented yaks and ponies here. Return back to the hotel in Gangtok for a comfortable overnight stay.After breakfast, drive to Darjeeling. On arrival check in at Hotel after freshen up, sightseeing tour of Darjeeling starts. The beautiful hill station Darjeeling at an altitude of 7,000 feet. Called the “Queen of the Himalayas”. It offers unparalleled views of the majestic peaks. This afternoon, enjoy a visit to the bazaar for a taste of life in this little piece of heaven.
Once the summer capital of India, Darjeeling is a land of infinite variety and charm. It will cater you a mix-experience of lively nature charming Himalayan people. Surrounded by Tea gardens; this little town faces some of the highest peaks of the Himalayas. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 08 : DARJEELING – BAGDOGRA BY ROAD 67 KMS 02 HOURS DRIVE
Early morning start for Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular sunrise and its amazing effects on the Mt. Kanchendzonga (Worlds 3rd highest peak). Later drive towards Bagdogra Airpoort.
