DAY 01 : DELHI - JAIPUR 260 KMS 05 HOURS DRIVE

The morning after breakfast, drive to Jaipur. Afternoon we visit the Amber Fort in the Aravali Hills, which is a superb example of Rajput (Medieval Hindu) style architecture. A slow elephant ride takes us to the top of the Fort, which houses several graceful buildings and later visits Nahargarh fort - Nahargarh Fort is also situated atop the hills of Aravalli, has an overlooking view of Jaipur city. Along with Amer and Jaigarfort, Nahargarh once formed a strong defense for the city. (15 km.) cresting a hill about 600 ft. above the city, the fort was built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur. The walls of the fort run along the ridge and within are architectural beauties like Hawa Mandir and Madhvendra Bhawan. Walls extended over the surrounding hills, forming fortifications that connected this fort to Jaigarh, the fort above the old capital of Amber. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 02 : JAIPUR

Morning full-day tour of Jaipur. First visit the City Palace is a palace complex situated in the heart of Jaipur including the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak mahal. it occupies about one-seventh of the old city area. The palace is a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, it houses a Seven storied Chandra Mahal in the center, which affords a fine view of the gardens and the city. Diwan-E-Am (Hall of public audience) has intricate decorations and collection of manuscripts, Diwan-E-Khas (Hall of private audience) has a marble pawed gallery Mubarak Mahal has a rich collection of costumes and textiles. There is a Clock Tower near the Mubarak Mahal. Sileh Khana has a collection of armory and weapons. Hawa Mahal - Hawa Mahal, popularly known as “Palace of Winds” is one of the prime tourist attractions of Jaipur, built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799. It is a magnificent five-storied semi-octagonal building in the shape of the crown of Lord Krishna, having 953 windows with over hanging latticed balconies which are popularly called a ‘Jharokhas’ in the Indian context. This is an example of a fine piece of work of Rajput architecture. It is located in the heart of Jaipur, built of red sandstone. Originally designed for the royal ladies to watch and enjoy the processions and other activities, on the street below. Now it houses a well laid out museum. The display “Jaipur past and present” is the special feature of this newly setup museum. Jal Mahal - Jal Mahal or Water Palace is located (6 km) on the way to Amer in Jaipur City, set in the middle of Man Sagar Lake looks amazing. People use to stop here for a while for photography while coming from Amber. Renovation around the lake is in progress and Albert Hall etc. Overnight at Hotel.
